Desktop Application
NetPlus
Local-first network observability platform built with Rust, React, and Tauri for packet decoding, flow reconstruction, protocol exploration, and security analysis with PCAP/PCAPNG processing at its core.

The problem
Traditional packet analyzers present overwhelming raw hex streams without context, while commercial monitoring tools stream user telemetry to third-party cloud servers.
The solution
Built a local-first network observability platform with Rust, React, and Tauri for packet decoding, flow reconstruction, protocol exploration, and security analysis, with PCAP/PCAPNG processing and offline-first analysis at its core.
Outcome
Established a multi-crate Rust workspace spanning packet capture, decoding, flow reconstruction, storage, intelligence, API contracts, and a React/Tauri desktop interface, with strong local-first privacy boundaries and deterministic test/replay infrastructure.
What I learned
Designing process-isolated multi-crate Rust architectures with Tauri v2 IPC required enforcing strict API boundaries. Balancing real-time packet processing throughput against UI re-render frequency highlighted the importance of batched state updates and IPC backpressure.
